Strategic
Goal-Setting
As a precursor to strategic planning, it is important that organizational
goals are established, incorporating the perspectives of key stakeholders.
Key goals (in areas such as profitability, growth, service, etc.) are
identified and prioritized. These goals serve as organizational "pillars",
guiding the successful implementation of the strategic planning process.
Strategy
unifies the intent of the organization and focuses members toward actions
designed to accomplish desired organizational outcomes. A well disseminated
and measured strategy encourages actions that support organizational goals,
and discourages those that do not.
